Through the years, hundreds of artists have entertained as Opry cast members. With cast members that include new stars, superstars and legends, the Opry is poised to take country music into the new millenium.

Bill Anderson, Garth Brooks, Joe Diffie, Diamond Rio, Little Jimmy Dickens, Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Lorrie Morgan, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Jeannie Seely, Jean Shepard, Ricky Skaggs, Connie Smith, Marty Stuart, Porter Wagoner, Steve Wariner and Trisha Yearwood are among the stars that are part of the Opry family.

Thousands of people make pilgrimages every year to see the Opry live, and others tune in to the Opry magic via, 650 WSM or "Grand Ole Opry Live" on CMT: Country Music Television.

Visitors to the Opry today can expect to see the new stars, superstars and legends of country and bluegrass take the stage throughout an Opry performance, and can also expect to see a live radio broadcast-commercials and all-unfold before their eyes. One of the Opry's priceless qualities continues to be the uniqueness of each show-guests never know who might strike up a rare duet or who might stop by for a surprise appearance.

Additionally, visitors today have the opportunity to see the Opry performed in its permanent home, the 4,400 seat Grand Ole Opry House, as well as in its most famous former home, the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. The Opry stages its shows at the Opry House March - October and at the Ryman November - February. During its run at each venue, the Opry offers special events and shows to complement its weekend performances, from summer Tuesday Night Opry performances and its October Homecoming Celebration to its holiday season Thanksgiving through the new year.
