
El Tovar Hotel
Opened in 1905. Historic hotel located directly on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Designed to be a cross between a Swiss chalet and a Norwegian Villa. Considered to be the crown jewel of National Park Lodges. Fine Dining and gourmet meals at the El Tovar Dining Room. Reservations are highly recommended in advance!

The Accommodation
El Tovar has 78 rooms, many of which are suites. Due to the historic nature of the hotel, no two rooms are alike, giving the hotel distinctive charm. There are 12 hotel suites, each one with a unique name, identity and decor. For example, the Zane Grey Suite – complete with an attached sitting area and balcony – is appointed with unique wall art specific to the author. El Tovar also offers accessible rooms. Rooms are accessed by stairs only, and there are no elevators.
• Standard rooms have one double bed, one queen bed, two queen beds, or one king bed.
• Deluxe rooms have either one queen bed, one king bed, or two queen beds.
• Suites have a bedroom with either one king bed or two queen beds, and a sitting room. Several of the suites have a porch or balcony. Due to the unique nature and high demand for these exclusive rooms, not all suites can be reserved online. To make a reservation, please call Amtrak Vacations directly.

• All accommodations include satellite TV, safe, telephone, hairdryer, full bath, coffeemaker, and air conditioning. There are no microwaves
